BBA launches survey to gauge opinions on crime, transportation

ATLANTA — The Buckhead Business Association (BBA) is launching a community-wide survey to gauge opinions on a number of hot-button issues.

The brief survey includes questions about whether residents support the potential extension of streetcars into the Buckhead community and if a greater police presence is needed in the wake of a recent uptick in crime citywide. The civic organization expects to announce the results in late November.

The survey, which targets anyone who lives, works or plays in the Buckhead community, will be open from Tuesday, Nov. 10, until Tuesday, Nov. 17. To participate, visit buckheadbusiness.org/survey.

“Buckhead is perhaps the most vibrant community within the metropolitan region, and when many people think of Atlanta, they think of Buckhead,” said Greg Davis, president of the BBA. “As an organization, we hear from many of the community’s luminaries on a regular basis, and we view this survey as an extension of our mission.”

Added Davis: “We’re looking forward to better understanding what many in our community think about the important issues facing us today — whether they live or work here or are in Buckhead for our world-renowned dining and entertainment options.”

The DeFeo Groupe, an Atlanta-based content service provider, is conducting the survey on behalf of the BBA.

The business organization holds breakfast meetings at 7:30 a.m. most Thursday mornings at the City Club of Buckhead. Meetings feature a business, political or civic leader as a speaker, and topics usually include leading issues within the Buckhead community and Atlanta as a whole.

Tickets for members are $10 in advance and $12 at the door; non-member tickets are $20.For more information, visit buckheadbusiness.org.
