Investigators: DeKalb County is ‘rotten to the core’

Well this doesn’t bode well for DeKalb County.

DeKalb County “is rotten to the core,” special investigators probing various malfeasance in the County say in a letter to Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May, The Atlanta Constitution reported.

“The misconduct starts at the top and has infected nearly every department we have looked at,” the newspaper quoted investigators Mike Bowers, a former Georgia attorney general, and Richard Hyde as writing in a letter. “Expenses range from the petty to the absurd.”
