Angels minor leaguer suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced that Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Minor League pitcher Jordany Gomez has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for Phentermine and Mephentermine, performance-enhancing substances in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Gomez, who is currently on the roster of the Angels’ Dominican Summer League club, is effective at the start of next season.
