Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino awards Virginia couple all-inclusive getaway for YouTube video

ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Realizing his digital camera could also take video, Aaron Schwarz decided to document his stay at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino.

But what he didn’t know was that his video would lead to a return trip to the resort with all expenses paid.

The Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino today awarded Schwartz and his girlfriend, Nicole Grenwis, a weeklong, all-inclusive return vacation to the resort after learning that Schwartz posted the video to the popular video-sharing Web site YouTube.com (Schwartz’s video can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bO7UIADT3os).

“We want to thank Aaron and Nicole for showing the world how much they enjoyed their time at our resort,” said Paul Gielen, general manager for the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. “The footage of their vacation is a true depiction of a typical stay here.”

The Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino provides an escape for singles, couples and families with a marina, casinos and nightlife. The resort provides two lodging options for its guests – the adult-exclusive Renaissance Marina Hotel with 297 rooms and the family-friendly Renaissance Ocean Suites with 258 rooms.

Schwarz, of Fairfax, Va., and Grenwis, of Arlington, Va., enjoyed a five-night stay at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino late last month.

“It truly is paradise,” Schwarz said. “We had a great view of the pool and the Caribbean Sea, and we spent the entire week enjoying everything the resort had to offer: the private Renaissance Island, the pool and swim-up bar at the Renaissance Ocean Suites and visiting the restaurants and shops at the Renaissance Mall.

“My girlfriend complained about us looking like tourists while I was taping our trip, but now she’s happy that I did,” Schwarz added. “She loved the final product. We sent it around to our friends and family, and I posted it on YouTube and on my MySpace page and everyone loved it!

“We can’t wait to return,” he added.
