KENNESAW, Ga. — The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will hold its annual Railroad Rendezvous from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on July 15.

The event this year will include new family-friendly activities, including the opportunity to enjoy a special model train layout and the museums’ own layout where kids can even decorate and add their own personalized buildings. For a small fee, guests will have the opportunity to board the famous General locomotive.

Railroad Rendezvous is sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face as they see all that railroading has to offer,” said Dr. Richard Banz, the Southern Museum’s Executive Director. “From layouts to crafts, bluegrass bands to railroad jobs…we’ve got it all this year and we can’t wait for this to be part of your summer fun.”

As in years past, bluegrass bands will bring festive music to the event.

Museum event admission is $7.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $5.50 for children ages 4-12 and free for children three and under as well as Museum members. There is an additional fee of $5 for all guests 4 years and older to board the General Locomotive (including members).
